3D perception Elevates Fast Jet Training at I/ITSEC 2024 with Proven Simulation Visual Displays
Orlando, FL USA 27 Nov 2024 – 3D perception (3DP) is excited to return to I/ITSEC to showcase its renowned
Atlas™ and
Draco™ simulation visual display systems. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience two advanced preconfigured systems designed for fast jet applications. These wide field of view dome systems offer consistent depth cues, providing a natural visual flow and realistic speed sensation with minimal eye strain and cybersickness, making them ideal for prolonged use.
“Our solutions continue to evolve to meet the demands of modern air forces,” says Knut Krogstad, CEO at 3D perception.
“By constantly refining our technology based on real-world feedback, we ensure that simulation closely mirrors reality, providing pilots with training experiences that translate to operational excellence.” Both systems are image generator-independent, featuring camera-free automatic image alignment, Night Vision Goggles support, and up to eye-limiting resolution at 240Hz, ensuring the highest fidelity for intense and realistically immersive training scenarios.
Featured Systems:
Draco™ Fast Jet Mini-Dome: A high-fidelity, reconfigurable simulator visual display system designed for rapid deployment and installation. Draco offers a compact footprint with motorized height settings to quickly accommodate differing cockpits and pilot positions. The Draco demonstrator at I/ITSEC is supported by Norxe, MultiSIM, and Silverdraft.
Atlas™ Fixed-Wing Simulator Dome: A state-of-the-art fixed-wing simulator visual display system for fast jet and turbo-prop aircraft with superior image contrast, low smear and a wide field of view. Atlas deliveries have been certified as FAA Level 6 flight training devices. The Atlas 270 demonstrator at I/ITSEC is supported by Barco, Aechelon, and MultiSIM.
Atlas will feature live flight demonstrations with an operational F-35 cockpit led by Erik “Corny” Cornelisse, former Royal Netherlands Air Force fighter pilot and current F-35 advisor.
“I’m excited to demonstrate how 3DP’s advanced simulation technology can transform pilot training,” says Cornelisse.
“These systems provide unparalleled realism and flexibility, essential for real-world missions.”
