Next Generation Integrated Software for Seamless Immersive Display
Hvalstad, Norway – December 03, 2024 – 3D perception (3DP), a global expert in simulation visual display systems and technologies, today announced the upcoming release of WarpCore™, a next generation software warp and blend processing technology for seamless immersive displays for the high-end simulation market. WarpCore is targeted for release in early 2025.
WarpCore is a powerful software package which seamlessly provides warp and blend image processing on the image generator (IG). WarpCore does not require access to the IG source code and with processing occurring at the GPU level, it has minimal impact on resource use. WarpCore will play an integral role in 3DP’s Northstar™ display ecosystem, which includes a range of features to simplify installation, operation, and maintenance of simulation display systems. WarpCore’s real-time software can process any resolution supported by the users’ IG and supports manual or automatic image warp and blend, alignment, and color calibration.

WarpCore is integrated with 3DP’s nControl, enabling projector control through a standard network, integrated auto-calibration, and Scenario Management for gradual transition from dusk to dawn. WarpCore fully integrates with all other 3DP Northstar products for display management.
WarpCore is compatible with 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 and proven to work with graphics libraries such as Unreal Engine, Unity, Prepar3D and many others. The software works with IGs based on 3D graphics APIs such as DirectX 9-12, OpenGL 1-4 and Vulcan.
3DP’s Northstar Simulation Display Solution
3D perception’s advanced Northstar™ visual display solution combines an advanced rack-mount multi-projector display processor, nBox™, with 3DP Certified Projectors and image auto-alignment technologies in the form of Aurora™ sensor-instrumented smart screens, or StarScan™, a screen-independent, precision 3D scanner and imager. Northstar is Image Generator (IG) independent and requires no software on or modification to the users IG.
