(“3DP”) today announced the release of WarpLite™, software warp & blend processing for seamless immersive displays for the simulation and visualization markets.WarpLite is a cost-effective warp and blend image processing software package, offering a unique set of features never before available. Designed for flexibility, ease of use, and reliability, this real-time software is capable of processing any resolutions supported by the users’ Image Generator (IG) and supports manual or automatic alignment and color calibration.
Developed in partnership with RPA Electronic Solutions, the software package is positioned for budget sensitive simulation and visualization programs where the full benefits of 3DP’s hardware display processor, nBox™, may not be fully taken advantage of. 3D perception’s CEO, Knut Krogstad said, “WarpLite marks 3DP’s entrance into a previously underserved portion of the simulation market. 3DP can now leverage the full power and quality of our Northstar eco-system of products to this expanding sector.”
WarpLite is managed by 3DP’s nControl™ software, enabling the user to perform all the image adjustments necessary to create a seamless and high-quality image across a curved or flat projected display.
With projector control through LAN cables and integration with 3DP’s nControl, WarpLite provides unique features such as Scenario Management for gradual transition from dusk to dawn and non-linear automatic color correction. WarpLite fully integrates with all other 3DP Northstar products for auto-alignment and auto-calibration.
3DP’s Northstar Simulation Display System
3D perception’s advanced Northstar™ visual display solution combines an advanced rack-mount multi-projector display processor, nBox™, with 3DP Certified Projectors™ and image auto-alignment technologies in the form of Aurora™ sensor-instrumented smart screens, or StarScan™, a screen-independent, precision 3D scanner and imager. Northstar is Image Generator (IG) independent and requires no software on or modification to the users IG.
