Hvalstad, Norway 5 Dec 2025 – 3D perception, Inc. (3DP), a leader in simulation visual display technologies, has been selected by AVT Simulation to provide five advanced Lyra™ 210 mini-dome visual display systems for the Targeted Fidelity Apache Tactical Trainer (TFATT) as part of the Tactical Collective Training System (TCTS). The TFATT is an AH-64E Apache helicopter simulator supporting collective training, providing dedicated pilot and weapons stations. The 3DP Lyra 210 systems have been factory integrated, tested, and accepted and will be delivered to the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force (RNLASF) Multi-Ship Multi-Type (MSMT) training environment in 2026.
Delivered through the U.S. Army’s Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, the Tactical Collective Training System (TCTS) enhances multinational collective training capabilities.
The Lyra 210 system delivers a seamless 210° horizontal by 90° vertical solid-state projection display on a 1.5 m radius dome, all housed within a compact 11-foot cube. The integral light closeout provides complete system isolation for optimized training in all conditions – including Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations. Lyra 210 features 3DP’s Northstar™ technology platform, which:
- Enables NVG-compatible dynamic optical blending for seamless day-to-night transitions
- Provides camera-free automated geometric correction and color calibration for precise, high-fidelity imagery
- Ensures projector and Image Generator independence for unparalleled future-proofing and flexibility
