3D perception commissioned to deliver two Visual Display Systems for Airport Rescue & Firefighting Vehicle Simulators for ETC Simulation

ORLANDO, FL, April 30 – 3D perception, Inc. (“3DP”), today announced the commissioning of two of its Northstar™ immersive visual display systems for ETC Simulation’s (“ETC”) Airport Rescue and Firefighting vehicle simulators for customers in Austria and South Africa. 3DP’s seamless 180-degree visual display system provides an on-scene view to vehicle operators and commanders. The multi-projector, large field-of-view display provides trainees with lifelike, life-sized engagement, training the driving and operation of an Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (“ARFF”) truck, as well as tactical positioning in the event of an aircraft emergency. The full cab simulators have the same cab as the real Rosenbauer Panther vehicle, including a functional dashboard and center console with controls for the roof and bumper turrets. “The full cab ARFF simulator allows the airport fire and rescue vehicle operators to build the experience and gain the confidence necessary to perform under extreme conditions in a variety of situations, and ultimately be better prepared for real-life incidents and live-exercises.
