Hvalstad, Norway 4 Dec 2025 – 3D perception (3DP), has announced the delivery of two Atlas™ Northstar visual display systems (VDS) to Saab for the Full Mission Gripen Fighter Simulator program for the South African Air Force Gripen C/D. The Atlas VDS, optimized for the field-of-view, speed, and precision necessary for fixed-wing fast jet training, includes 3DP’s latest generation nBox display processor, a modular dome screen, and eight high-resolution 4K projectors with night scenario capabilities.
The benefits of the Atlas VDS include reduced live training time and costs, consistent lifelike environment over time, high immersion, and high-fidelity experience. The completely seamless display is automatically aligned via embedded sensors in the dome screen, expediting and simplifying maintenance procedures.
